Country Oncology Medical Lead, Norway

You will be an integral part of the Medical Affairs team in Norway making a difference for the scientific leaders and patients!
You will lead strategic & tactical planning of oncology medical affairs work in the country and have managerial responsibilities for the country oncology medical affairs team. Plus, you will maintain close collaboration with the scientific community by acting as a Country Medical Advisor within the assigned indications.
You are the leader and scientific ambassador to the medical community
As a Country Medical Lead role for Oncology you will be managing a team of direct reports in the country and securing appropriate allocation of resources to execute on medical priorities.
In your Medical Advisor capacity, you are seen as a valued co-strategist on cross functional country teams, including Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Marketing and other functions. You propose local data generation study concepts and ensures HQ approval through appropriate governance. You build trust with the external scientific community and execute country/Nordic expert input forums to remain on the leading edge of therapeutic and patient care advances.
You will work with a breakthrough immune-oncology therapy.

Management & Business Leadership
Translate the Global Medical Goals and Strategies into research, data analysis, scientific communication, educational, and other tactics and solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance access in their country
Support execution of and quickly adapt tactical plan to business realities in country
Developing and coaching direct reports
Scientific & Technical Leadership
Infuse country’s scientific and healthcare environment perspective into Regional Medical Affairs Team
Communicate both scientific and business needs credibly, appropriately and effectively across a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Provide therapeutic/functional training to assigned teams and affiliate functions
You understand science – and people
You are a MD or have PhD in Life Science. In addition, you have solid experience (not less than 5-7 years) in medical affairs. It’s preferable if you have experience working with oncology, hematology or immunology field, but not a must.
You demonstrate strategic thinking, specifically related to asset value proposition, and clinical and value evidence. You are able to develop a network of scientific leaders and successful interactions with other key stakeholders (public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations).
You show proven ability to effectively communicate information at country management level, with public groups and to scientific leaders.
You have excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication (written as well as oral) and results oriented project management skills.
You also possess strong prioritization skills and ability to understand how decisions fit into the broader context of corporate strategies
You can effectively collaborate across functions in a matrix environment.
You’re fluent in both Norwegian and English.
